Hobbies
I am playing the game called salibandy, floorball, innebandy, unihoc, or unihockey. See the sites of the International Floorball Federation (IFF) or the Finnish Floorball Federation for further information about this game.
Nearly every Sunday we have a local amateur session (see list of players with the title "Sunnuntaisähly"). If you are interested you are welcome to join us. We are also playing in Team Tökkii Pahasti (TöPa).
Besides Finnish floorball arenas, I also have international experience while I was a "professional player" in England (and did some research besides that). I played in a team which won the floorball championship 1995 of the University of Surrey in United Kingdom, and in a team which won the unofficial floorball championship 1996 of England. Note that the latter championship tournament was very unofficial and informal, and thus, the first official tournament was played later. However, naturally the games were played according to official rules.
I like to watch ice hockey. My favorite Finnish team is Saipa, Lappeenranta but sometimes I travel to see home games of other Finnish teams as well. I have not played ice hockey myself since 80's, but I am an eager sports fan. In my best year I saw more than 50 ice hockey games live and many other games in a television. Nowadays, I see less games, and one can blame my employer only that is demanding long working hours.
My favorite English team is Guildford Flames.
See the list of countries I have toured.
